4th Bagmati Provincial Junior Invitational Mayor's Cup Taekwondo Tournament 2080 organized by Jaishidewal Youth Club (JYC) has been completed. The competition was held at the
Taekwondo Academy Hall in Satdobato from Feb 8th to 10th.
A total of 20 teams from 18 municipalities of Bagmati province and two teams of the organizer will participate in the competition. A total of 400 players will participate in the tournament with 20 players in each team. 30 players from the organizer JYC will participate in the tournament. M/s Kajal Shrestha and Mr. Sanjeev Ojha, the gold medalists of the 13th South Asian Games (SAG), are training the players of the host team.
The total prize money of the competition is around two lakh rupees. This competitiveness is the main purpose of Kathmandu Metropolitan City. In the competition, boys and girls will compete in 8-8 weight groups. Each gold medalist will be awarded Rs.2000, silver medalist will be awarded Rs.1000 and bronze medalist will be awarded Rs.500.
Similarly, West Fighter Male and West Fighter Female will be awarded USD 150 each. One hundred dollars will be awarded to the best Poomsae male player, the best Poomsae female player, the best judge, and the best coach.
Rajesh Prajapati, president of Jaishidewal Youth Club, informed that the players who win. gold medals from the organizing team in this competition will be included in the international taekwondo competition held abroad. He said that the organizers will bear all the expenses of the players participating in the international competition. President Prajapati said that in accordance with the effort to do something new in every edition, the players have been insured for a week for one lakh rupees from this time. Similarly, he also informed that participation is free for the entire team and players and T-shirts have been provided for all the players as well as breakfast, lunch and dinner have been arranged. Similarly, the organizers have arranged jackets for coaches and judges.
